I was just wondering if you have tried 10.4 with your ASUS Laptop. If so, how is the funcionability? I would love to have Ubuntu on my M51TA-2. The only thing that was stopping me was painfully complicated microphone configuring and no 3D support.

sorry I do not have that laptop with me now. I gave it to my sister. I can try doing that only after some months when I see her. I got lot of things working on that laptop using 9.10. You can check my post. Personally I would say go for dell studio xps 13 or 16 they are awesome... everything works with very less pain. I mean everything... I am currently having a studio xps 13.
